Online wallet GCash is stepping up its fight against digital fraud through a partnership with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The e-wallet owned by the bilyonaryo Zobel de Ayala clan’s agreement with the NBI aims to enhance their collaboration in detecting and resolving online fraud.

“This cements the commitment of GCash in working together with both public and private organizations in order to build a safe digital space for all Filipinos,” GCash said in a statement.

Under the agreement, GCash can share details on suspicious accounts and transactions with the NBI. With authorization from NBI, GCash can stop a financial institution from proceeding with a transaction involving a suspicious user.

GCash kicks off 2024 by further strengthening its Trust and Security mandate as it formalizes a partnership with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
