Fintech poised to ‘deepen’ regulatory engagement

Meanwhile, the group of digital finance players said Lito Villanueva, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer of RCBC, continues as Chairman.
Villanueva stressed that the strength of FinTech Alliance PH “lies in bringing together leaders who are not only shaping their organizations, but collectively defining the future of finance in the Philippines.”
As such, the chairman of the industry group said this Board reflects the “depth and dynamism” of the digital ecosystem in the country as the Fintech industry pushes for “broader access, stronger digital infrastructure, and more inclusive financial services for every Filipino.”
The Fintech industry group said it continues to lead key industry initiatives from “advancing open finance frameworks and accelerating digital payments adoption to enabling public-private partnerships that expand access for underserved and unbanked communities.”
The FinTech Alliance said it was the first digital industry organization to have adopted an industry-led Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics, ensuring industry players’ strict compliance with laws and regulations.
Currently, the industry group represents over 150 corporate members, accounting for more than 95 percent of retail digital financial transaction volume, FinTech Alliance PH said.
